Down a couple pounds from last week, so I’m guessing it was a fluke. Still, I’m doin’ better than the week before, though it’s nowhere near likely I’ll be close to my goal for the end of the month.

I’d try and write more but I’m feelin’ like I might be comin’ down with something, so I’m gonna turn in early.

Down a pound this week. I guess I was speaking prematurely when I thought eating might be getting easier for me; I wasn’t able to eat as much as I should have all week. Ah well.

I hate buying groceries. I tend to spend far too much time trying to put together an amount of food that ought to put weight on me and wrestling with the King Soopers website to get the order in. Things are getting more expensive, too, which sucks.

So I’m down half a pound this week. I thought I was eating a bit light this week, even though I’m still feeling a bit big. I’m going to have to eat a lot the next couple of weeks to make up for it.

For a long time now I’ve been finding it hard to put together a gaining menu that:

  • …doesn’t break the bank; I’m relatively poor (but my grocery budget is about $50–$60/week),
  • …isn’t actively trying to kill me—I try to eat healthy—and
  • …doesn’t involve spending all day in the preparation or the eating—I have better ways to spend my time.

I’ve changed my usual lunch as of the start of the year for something more efficient; where I used to have rice and a vegemeat patty, lately I’ve been having a potato casserole which is also pretty cheap and basically double the calories. This week for dinner I’m having, chiefly, black beans and rice. I’m budgeted for a bit over 3000 calories a day and I should have enough to cover it. Hopefully I’ll have better progress to report by next week.

By the way, if anyone would care to contribute a reasonable menu plan to the cause, I’d much appreciate it.

As expected, I lost some weight over the vacation; luckily it wasn’t as much as I thought it might be. Still, it’s a setback, and I’ll have to work to make up for it… may not be able to do it next week though, because I had to make up my grocery order while my computer was down, and I didn’t have DietPower on hand to make out my calorie budgets, so I’m pretty sure I’ll be coming up short.

I envy people who actually manage to gain weight over the holidays.

I don’t like the feeling of being empty. It’s still not enough to get me up and eating—appetite still sucks—but definitely it lets me know I want to keep growing.

Speaking of growing, Pete over at gitbigger.com just posted a current pic of himself with a drawing of himself at a larger size side-by-side. He mentioned morphing it, and I got the itch to dust off my old copy of Morpheus and give it a swing.

He says it’s meant to be around 450 lbs, but he pretty much doubles in diameter here; I figure if he’s starting from a 44″ waist and ~240 lbs, the last frame of the morph is about 80-90 inches around… I’d be surprised if we’re looking at less than 600 here.

Gaining week ended early due to having to leave for Denver for the weekend. Came out with a bit of a loss, but I kind of expected it; will be eating more reasonably next week… I’m not gonna wait till 195 like I said last post to up my gain rate. Next weekend is an extra-long weekend for me as well, and I’ll be home with time to myself… think I’ll try and stuff myself pretty good then. I wanna be at a good respectable weight by MFF at November’s end!
