Why does it have to be so easy to lose five pounds in a week, but so hard to do the opposite? (Well, because it’s easier not to eat than to eat, and much easier than to overeat.)

I’ve been out of my usual eating habits for the past few weeks thanks to work stress I’ve mentioned, and I suppose now that things are coming back to normal I’ve got to find my appetite again.

Ugh. This is seriously something I haven’t been strong enough to do on my own. Even just being with someone makes it easier to eat than not eat—harder to skip a meal if someone else is hungry too, after all.

But let’s not start going down this road. I’ve been thinking about quitting the “weekly update” as a genesis for my posts, since they discourage me more than anything at all I do throughout the week. Maybe just switching to pictures and Q&A and foodish talk on those vanishingly rare occasions I’m in a food mood.

Haha. Start telling me what you think. Here’s a picture of me at work on Friday to get you started. Those of you who watch me on Twitter have already seen it.

This still isn’t supposed to be a biweekly blog, but somehow it seems to be turning out that way…

Anyway. So, the stressful conditions at work are still ongoing and I gave up on eating five times a day, ’cause I didn’t feel like eating so much at home either; consequently, my weight sort of zoomed up. Makes perfect sense, right?

Right.

I blame the tater tots… muchly tasty tater tots.

Some pictures for you guys this week—

Pretty sure this week will be another week without gain — all the food I made for the week didn’t turn out that well, and some hectic stress at work going on has totally taken away my appetite while I’m there.

Been thinkin — it’s almost been a year since I’ve had the blog up at this address. Might be time to update the header image. Tried to take a better shot this evening but the light isn’t really cooperating; I’ll probably have to wait till the weekend when I can take morning pictures.
