Well, I’ve got to say January was pretty encouraging. Here’s hoping I can keep it up for February!
So, last week I mentioned a potato lasagna. I made a recipe and it came out pretty well, I think: nothing fancy on the flavor front, just a sort of good solid food. But I think the linguine came out even better: I’ve really been into olives lately and this pasta with a sauce of crushed olives, garlic, basil, oregano, and red pepper in olive oil was just really fantastic for that.
As for what I mentioned last week about trying to cut down on the necessity for sweets, I’m hoping to get some of that improved this week: I cut that sugared stuff out of my work stuff and will be going for something more in the cracker line instead. At least I’ll try; with those I find it’s harder to eat as much. Ah well. It’s getting late, so I’m off to bed.
