So last week I was sick. Nothing too serious; mostly sinus congestion. But being moderately miserable kept me from wanting to think about eating so most of my between-meal eating just didn’t happen.

Average budgeted: 3462 calories/day
Average eaten: 2982 calories/day
DP calculated metabolism: 2996 calories/day
Expected loss: A fraction of a pound
Actual loss: 4 lb

I doubt that being sick jumped my metabolism up to 5000 calories a day; I’m sure part of this was just because I wasn’t at a “full” weight—even though the official weigh-in is Saturday morning and I don’t usually eat much Friday evening. I don’t know. But it feels like a huge setback. I want to make it back up… hopefully sooner than before.

I was going to post new pics for y’all this week but it might take a bit till I don’t look sick anymore—I’ve got the whole red nose thing going on, for one! Maybe next time.
