200.

An antipattern seems to be emerging: this is the second week I’ve made decent progress up through the first half of the week (up to 205 lbs, actually) then lost it all over the second half of the week. I get lazy, or otherwise absorbed, and just don’t bother eating. Yesterday, I think all I had to eat was a small bag of potato chips and an ice cream sandwich.

Ah well. On the bright side I had a great time with my puppy this weekend. ;-)

The official weight this week was at 200 lbs, though mid-week I had managed to hit as high as 204.  On Friday I don’t really stop to eat, so I was down a bit come the official Saturday morning weigh-in, but I seem to be gaining it back; this morning I had 204 on the scale.  It’s encouraging; I hope the trend continues.

Meal plan for week of 7/12–7/18, result +1 lbs:

  • Breakfast: Basil parmesan pancakes, ×2.
  • Lunch: Chimichangas, ×2.
  • Snack: Nut balls, tostones.
  • Dinner:  Tacos, ×3–4.

Average calories consumed per day (estimate based on actual intake): 3116.

Been hanging out with a small gainer community online.  If you’re a furry and a gainer, be sure to check out #gainerfurs on Furnet IRC.

Here’s some pictures from this morning:

Apparently I’m an inch bigger around than last time I was around this weight!

199, bis.

Still not much progress, but at least I didn’t lose again like last week.  It’s hard to talk about lack of progress without being a total downer, so here are a couple of pictures in lieu of conversation:

So I was getting to wondering what might be causing the difficulty I’ve been having in gaining weight. DietPower‘s been estimating my metabolic rate at a thousand calories higher a day than it was during the winter—which is frankly ridiculous—and it’d be good to know why.

I took a look at some old stats and it does seem to be seasonal; at least, I lost weight every month from February to August. So I was wondering if this was a trend of some kind, what might be causing it, and if I could do anything to reverse it… If not, I guess I get to try holding out till my body settles down again, ’cause as things are, there’s no way I can keep up with the calories I need to gain properly.
